    Hello.

I have a a little situation here where I would need to update/reload the content of an overlay when it is opened. I am currently building an event website for a small workshop/discussion event. I would like to use the posts for the single workshops and I use a plugin called "PublishPress future" to remove a category called "aktiv" so that I can have a thumbnail grid with only upcoming ("aktiv") events.

BUT that means that I need to reload my upcoming events/posts when I open the overlay so that when a visitor has the website open on his browser or phone he will only really see the upcoming (or currently running) events.

In my fantasy I would have a script that reloads the content inside the overlay when I hit my "AKTUELLES PROGRAMM" button.

Any ideas how to do that?

Here is my site in development: https://digitale2023.de/willkommen/
Here is the thumbnail grid with the upcoming events/posts: https://digitale2023.de/aktuelles-programm/

    Thank you! Arne

Hello @arminunruh. It is not really a problem. It is a feature I would need.

I have this overlay with a thumbnail grid. That grid lists all my portfolio posts with the category "aktiv". In my case these posts are workshops as parts of the whole event. I use a plugin that removes the category "aktiv" after the workshop has finished so ut won't appear in that grid anymore. BUT if the user doesn't reload the page – for example he/she is at the event and always has the page open on his phone – he/she will not see when the grid changed because it doesn't automatically update/reload.

So my idea was to have a script that reloads (AJAX call) the content in the overlay when I open/display the overlay so it only really displays the currently active events.
