Cover parallax in Safari not working as expected

I'm having issues with the cover parallax feature in Safari (and Orion), desktop and mobile.
Not sure if it’s related to the latest updates, but now that feature works horribly on those browsers.

It's slow and breaks a lot... the scroll isn’t smooth at all. It looks like the page dropped the refresh rate :/ This issue doesn't seem to happen with Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

PS: I'm a Laytheme and Safari user for many years, and I think this is the first time I'm experiencing this bug. At least in this very noticeable way.

yea i haven't changed anything about the cover parallax, its just janky on safari :|

i never used orion

let me see if i can improve this mmh

yea i tried a little bit but i couldn't really improve this

best to turn off parallax for now for your cover
maybe only turn on darken

It would be great to have a fix for that soon.

Is there a simple way, with custom code, to disable parallax on Safari only?

i will try and look into this further because i also think there should be a way to make this performant

try this css:

transform: translate3d(0,0,0)!important;
}

I also tested with "transform: inherit !important;" and also works.
