Partial relocation of a website
-
Hello everyone,
I'm currently creating a website for a client. Since they don't have a domain yet, I'm building the site on my domain using my Lay Theme, like this: https://.........de/tias-welt/
The clients site mainly consists of photos. So far, I'm managing without a menu, etc., etc.
My question is: Can I migrate only this part of my domain (with its own WordPress and Lay Theme) or do I have to rebuild everything? Are there any tips or tricks for this?only this site will be the cliens website: https://360style.de/tias-welt/
thank you so much
best

mh? im not sure if i understand the question
you mean you want to put your wordpress website not on www.yoururl.com but into www.yoururl.com/mywebsite while the original website www.yoururl.com stays there?
not sure if that works
if you try this make sure to make a backup of the www.yoururl.com website!
maybe you can create a folder in your ftp and install wordpress in there
i would google this if i was you

could be a good idea to use a subdomain instead
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
