How to return to the exact same scroll position when going back to homepage

Hello, I have posted a comment in a similar thread, but I don't know if you saw it, so I am going to post it here as well. I hope it's ok.

I would like to know how to let the user go back to the homepage to the same scroll position they were before clicking a link in that page. The website is www.guidotarricone.it Thank you very much!

Hi there, i am currently facing a similar issue. For example if you go to the About page and click on a participant photo, then go back it always loads at the top of the page.

p.s. I've tried disabling all Plugins + turning off custom CSS, and "Disable Ajax/Comp Mode" is unchecked.

it doesnt for me

seems like you use multiple shortcode elements in the footer (desktop grid, and custom phone grid)
shortcodes will always make a page hard-reload

maybe try removing the shortcodes
