Embed API in JSON Format
-
hi there!
i am about to create a website for an artist agency.
the agency works with system one which is a booking tool -
system one offers an api which adds dates in json format to the website.
as an absolute beginner i'd like to know if its possible to embed this kind of api into laytheme?
more info on system ones api here:

hey christian!
you'd need to learn about how to fetch api endpoints using javascript:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Fetch_API/Using_Fetchthen you'd need to use the json you get to create html using javascript and then insert that into the website using javascript as well
i think this is hard to do for a beginner, i don't have time to code this for you :/
the link shows an embed, that would be better. can u somehow get that embed code and put it on a lay theme page using → + more → +html
or +more → +embed
https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_embed.asp
seems like you could probably just add it using +html
Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
