[carousel addon] Project thumbnail caption being reset on project update

Hello everyone,

I've encountered a pretty frustrating bug.

When using the carousel, after adding a project thumbnail, caption is automatically filled with the project title (as expected). Then, if I add more text to the caption (i.e. adding the project description, which isn't automatically placed) and save the page, carousel displays everything correctly (yay!).

But afterwards, if I edit the project (or just click on update without any changes), the caption which I manually changed has now been reset to the project title (without the description), making the project thumbnail in the carousel lose the text formats and other info.

This is so annoying!

Is there a possibility to fix the issues?

i tried to reproduce it but i cant:

the "hello how are you" is just a different paragraph with a different textformat

am i doing it wrong?
can you tell me if i should try it differently,
can you do a video maybe?

when you update a project that has been added as a project thumbnail to a carousel, its caption gets replaced automatically for the project title.

I get that this has some logic, i.e. when updating the project title, its thumbnail also gets updated. But when the title/caption has been modified manually, I think it shouldn't happen.
