    Hello

I'm using the overlay feature to display projects, so almost every overlay is longer than the browser height and therefore you'll need to scroll inside the overlay to continue viewing the project page.

However, once you close an overlay and then reopen, it will remember your last position. That means, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you will be back at the bottom if you open the project/overlay again. Not really ideal if you have a overlay-page that's scrollable.

Is it possible to make the overlay starting at the top every time you open it?

hey can you try if your website even works on safari on ios?
i think if you use many many overlays, it will crash your website on safari ios.

overlays aren't really meant to be used like that but i can see why you'd want to do that

ok so after thinking this through i think this should be the default behaviour

overlays will always be scrolled to the top when opening them with the next lay theme update that will come out

          Sounds perfect thanks Armin

I know the splitscreen also is a possibility for displaying many projects, but for this case I would still need a normal full browser-width page as the base site, rather than splitting it in two. I will need to monitor if many overlays break the site, hopefully it will work.

i think it would be good if you would test it now, because it might already not work on an iphone safari.
since like half a year or more, safari on iphone just crashes whenever it uses a lot of memory

I might find a different solution on the mobile version if it takes too much memory, for example create a duplicate of the projects and remove the overlay function, then set a customized mobile front page that links to these pages instead.

Could a possible future feature be to "Remove overlay function in phone version", so when you click an overlay on iphone ios, it would just open the page normal (since overlays are already created as pages)?

actually this may not be easily possible mhh
maybe i can only disable it for touch devices in general mmh lets see

this is also a bit of a low priority feature
