"Set Background Image" not working in Lay Theme Version: 6.8.9

It appears that in the current version of Lay Theme 6.8.9 the background image does not appear in Projects or Pages when selected from the menu "Set Background" / "Set Background Image". This bug happens for several people in the new version. It worked in Version 6.6.6.
It does appear in the code but is not visible.
