    Hi Richard,
Thanks for your kind reply. It's already great to see where the problem comes from. :)

This video element is not part of any additional CSS we have added, so I guess it is a bug. It's also weird as even when I change the opacity to 0 in the CSS, the videos appear in the preview, but not anymore if you load them on the regular browser. (When I go back to "Customize", the videos are disappeared again, even though the code is still there.)

I will try to fix it with a friend on the weekend who is more advanced than me with CSS and JavaScript, but if you have any idea how to make it work, of course, it would be a great help! ^^

All the best, and stay safe!

    Hi everyone,
I don't know if you have found already an answer to this bug, but I'm currently facing the same problem.

I'm adding portrait videos as thumbnails, and the projects are clickable, but I can't see them on my computer. On my phone, they are showing up and are playing and are clickable, so I'm also not sure what to do with it. ^^

It would be great if you could help me with this!

You'll find the website I'm working on under https://preciflex.luca-gruber.de/

PS ( the videos are h264 encoded mp4s and they also show up in the preview in Wordpress on my computer, but not afterwards)

  • Site Title - Navigation - IntersectionObserver
    5 5a5uke

    Hi everyone,
First of all, I'm still entirely new to Lay Theme, but I'm enjoying a lot to work with it and thanks a lot for all your hard work on it and this community.

There are already some forum posts about the issue I'm currently facing, but I couldn't find/understand a proper solution.

I'm using a fullscreen slider as an introduction for the website, and I want to use a white logo (png with transparent bg) and white navigation elements in front of this slider. When you scroll and the fullscreen slider disappears, it should exchange

    • list item the logo (a different coloured png)

    • the colour of the navigation elements

    • to a white background instead of a transparent one

I know there should be a possibility to do this with IntersectionObserver. Still, as I'm not very familiar with jQuery, I would be very thankful to anyone who can explain or reference an "easy" solution for this problem. (Also, I'm just slightly scared how to include it in the custom HTML & CSS section as I don't want to break anything ^^)

Here is the website as a reference; I hope everything is understandable:

  • Client Website Project

    Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to Lay Theme, and I have only developed my WordPress website with Lay Theme, but I'm a big fan!

One of my clients asked me to work on a new design for their website. They are using already WordPress and have a domain they want to keep, but I don't have access to the hosting of their website. Now I wanted to kindly ask for advice from some more experienced lay theme users. ^^

Do you think it would be the best solution to buy a new domain and webspace, which I can use in the future also for other clients (and move the new website when it's finished to their web space)? Or do you have other suggestions or experiences on how you are designing new websites for your clients?

I'm sorry if there is already a thread about this; I couldn't find one for now. Every helpful tip would be highly appreciated, and I hope you are all doing great in these crazy covid times!

    All the best ^^
