this shouldn't happen, do you have the latest wordpress version and do you use php 8?
try to switch to the default theme, like "twenty twenty-three"
it probably still won't work, which would indicate its not a lay theme issue but an issue with your server or your wordpress installation
i could enable the debug mode and see what kind of error is thrown.
but first update wordpress, go to your webhost control panel and make sure you're using php8 or above. and then see if it works. if it doesn't:
can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com?
