This question already exists several times in the forum but since these requests are all pretty old, I think it's ok to post it again.

I'm building a custom bio link site for Instagram, and that's the missing feature.
Or is there any workaround with using the captions of an image?

Problem solved.
There's an additional plugin that I need so that Polylang works properly. It's called Polyang-Slug.php and it needs to be updated manually via FTP. After doing that the site works with PHP 8.0.

To me, it's quite an annoying problem because it really kills the fullscreen slider.
Let's hope it's not too annoying to fix.

@Tstudios I only find the "frontpage_select_page" string after uploading the file into wp-content/polylang and not to the plugin folder.

Yet I still don't know what numbers to put in there.

Today I switched from WPML to Polylang as the plugin for multilanguage support, because WPML never fully worked and Polylang is mentioned as the recommended choice.

But I still have several problems. Actually the switch hasn't made anything better for me. More or less same issues persist. But I need to fix this as the site performs very poorly in SEO and I think the broken multilanguage thing is a major cause.

1. The homepage does not translate. It exists in two version but only one can be shown. This problem was already mentioned several times in the forum here. The solution mentioned didn't fix it for me.

2. The language switcher only links to the landing page instead of actually going to the translated version of the current page. This was also the workaround I used with WPML for years but I figured out that it's not really a multilanguage website like that. I also think it's really bad for SEO.

3. When setting the footer and the homepage to display in the Wordpress settings, it doesn't allow me to set it for each language separately.

4. All permalinks now show "-2" after the original name, like https://practice.de/teacher-2/ and I can't edit the permalinks anymore. Compared to the issues above this of course is only a decorative flaw.

why don't i use the fullscreen slider instead to achieve a fullscreen slideshow... all perfect BUT there's no way to make it autoplay. so it seems there's no way.

please consider this for a future update. seems like something pretty basic to me.

This would make so much sense.
A truly versatile feature. Because as I understand it, the Image Hover addon doesn't help me here.

I'm using several html elements in my gridder layouts on this side: www.practice.de

And now I see that these elements are not editable anymore.
Either they don't open at all when I click on them or they do open but show no content. Any idea what's going on?

And that's another element on another page that just wont open when I double click:

Suddenly on mobile the frame on the right side isn't displayed anymore and the content goes all the way to the browser edge.

I'm using Polylang (including the Polylang Slug plugin) and everything worked.

But suddenly my German homepage is empty. I mean the menus are there and also the footer. But the whole page that should be displayed is gone. I have now absolutely no clue what I could do now to bring it back.

I must assume this problem appeared with the latest update of Laytheme.

Any tips appreciated. The homepage is rather important :)
