Lay Theme Forum

Hello,

I created my website a few years ago using the Carousel Addon, and everything was working fine until recently. I haven’t made any changes to the site for several months but a few weeks ago, my site suddenly started displaying as a standard blog theme and no longer uses Lay Theme.

When I check in the WordPress dashboard:

• WordPress and all plugins are up to date.
• However, Lay Theme no longer appears under Appearance → Themes.
• Instead, I see the message: “The stylesheet is missing.”

So I can not access to Lay Options anymore.

I am not sure if I should reinstall the theme. Can I still use the same zip? I am worried that reinstalling might cause me to lose all my existing content, custom code, and page layouts.

Could you please advise me on how to fix this issue without losing my site’s content?

On this website all my carousel modal are like this, so that I can't see the pictures, change the order or edit the captions.

There is no css code and all my plugins are updated.

I would like the links on the home page to appear in white and the links on the "nos réalisations" page to appear in black. I would like all the hover links to appear in blue.

As you can see, when I put my link in white on the home page, there is hover in blue anymore.

I set the text color in black in Customize -> Links in Texts as you suggested to EvaAnna but it doesn't change anything.

Yes thank you, we already tried this! The problem is not the loading of the website for visitors, it's when we are in wordpress trying to put some new elements. By example we can not put some new text, or change one, without waiting for an hour.

We have a problem with this website. It is sooooo slow that she really can’t put her new contents anymore. The update can take more than 20 minutes for a simple page, put some images is really slow and the text seems worse. It's been like this for a week, so we tried a lot of things: disable the plugin "Password Protected, update wordpress and all plugins and the PHP is ok in 7.4.
Everything seems allright in ovh too, and there is no big file in the website. The others websites we made with lay don’t have this problem, so it seems there is a particular issue with this one and we don’t know anymore what to do… Can you take a look at it, and save us one more time?

Thanks @Richard it works!!! Yes indeed it was just for safari. It's perfect for the menu but there is still the problem for her big name Luz Moreno Pinart on homepage and "about" page. Is there another solution for this one? It would be great!

Yes, sorry, our client wanted to see a preview not in italic, and she prefers in italic :). We just changed it back in italic so that you can test on it! Thanks again Richard!

Hi Armin,

The font we use for titles is cut when scrolling and hovering the menu. It depends on computers. Here is our client's screen, and it's the same on phone layout.
We tried a lot of things, with x-offset by example, but nothing works.
And of course this is the font of the entire identity, and she paid the weblicense, so we have to figure it out...
Lay Theme & Lay Theme's plugins are already updated.
