@Richard sorry, I'm daft, turning project titles off works exactly the same way as you described!

blank project title and hover addon on project images@Richard actually, one thing that might have been a misunderstanding, I'm trying to hide project titles rather than the site title - would you know if that is also possible?
Thank you so much for your help!

blank project title and hover addon on project imagesHi everyone and apologies if these questions have been answered already.
First off, I love Lay Theme, thank you Armin! It's so simple, beautiful and easy to use.I am currently trying to build a website that uses mostly images and handwritten text as navigation. Therefor, I would like to use only images to link to my projects and to have the project title blank.
Is this possible? How do I do this? Can I also use png files in the menus?
Also, I would like to use the hover effect on an image rather than on text. Can I do this? (I haven't gotten the addon yet, wanted to make sure this was possible beforehand).
Thank you for your help!

poll pluginThanks Richard, I've spoken to Darrell who developed the YOP poll plugin and we may have found a workaround.

poll pluginHi folks, hope you are all well!
Can anyone help me with poll plugins?Do you know if YOP poll plugin works with Lay Theme? Or does anyone here use another plugin for polls, ideally one that's not super expensive? I don't mind paying up to 50 Dollars or so if it does what I want.
Basically, I'm hoping to create a web comic where some decisions in the narrative are driven by the readers, I need a simple but good looking poll plugin where readers can chose between 2 options, I'd like to include pictures with the poll if possible as well as text.
any help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks,

blurry lightbox images that flicker when they load + layout issueHi Armin, couple of unrelated issues I hope you can help me with:
-
there seems to be a problem with the Lightbox function on my website -
Some images look fuzzy/ blurry when they load, with some of those flickering and then turning sharp, after a few seconds, while others just stay fuzzy.
I'm using Chrome, but the problem looked worse on my friend's computer (she has a desktop with a larger screen, not sure if that's relevant) and using Firefox. -
on my smaller laptop screen, i m pretty happy with the layout - the size of the menu in comparison to the logo on the left. But wasn't aware that the menu doesn't scale up at all on larger screens - it just stays the same size (then looking tiny) while the logo scales up waaaaay large, which doesn't look too good by itself and even worse with the menu now looking really tiny :(
those two are the main BUG points, plus I just noticed
3. something which doesn't bother me as much - is menu point mouseover meant to make the point in the side menu light up as the mouse hovers over the corresponding image? because it doesn't seem to be doing that.thanks for your help and happy easter!
My website is on: emccollard.com (already sent you login details in the chat)
.......
(I also have another question of something I'd like to do and am not sure if it is possible with the theme - should i be posting this somewhere else?
here goes:::
i'd like to uncouple the menu on the left from the images and have a menu that shows categories instead - i.e. painting, work on paper, performance ... and when one of these menu points is clicked while the viewer is on the front / 'work' page for only those projects to be shown that belong to this category.
ideally, i'd like to be able to have only my new projects on the front/ work page all the time, and when the individual category is clicked for additional (older) projects to also show up on the front page (with those from other categories disappearing, if you see what I mean?)
Plus, I don't want to see the menu (just the home button) when I'm on the about page.
(maybe even not when I'm in the individual projects). Possible?

LIGHTBOX + Captions? Possible?@arminunruh
I have a suggestion regarding captions: would it be possible to always show the captions under the image on the mobile view? at the moment they can't actually be accessed on the mobile view ... so viewers wouldn't be able to read the captions there at all. this tweak would actually make a lot of sense for my purposes :) -
problem using a webfont by <link>@arminunruh Hi Armin thanks for your quick reply! my website is on: emccollard.com I'll send the login in the chat. I used the 'Lora' font now and am happy with it so no biggie ;) the way i uploaded the fonts is by using the link from Google fonts...
I also have an issue with one image that seems to look blurry in the Lightbox function, the large one on the right in the third row from the top in this section:
http://emccollard.com/zahnderzeitpasta/(captioned: Zahnderzeitpasta 3.2.1 Jenny (taz edit)
(2008) 100 x 300 in total, with hinges)can you help with that?
thank you so much!

problem using a webfont by <link>Hello & thanks for the great theme.
I seem to be having a problem uploading webfonts if they have more than one word in the title: for example, uploading 'Roboto' works fine, but if I want to upload 'Roboto Mono' I get an error message saying: "Only letters numbers and underscores allowed ..."
This seems odd - after all, Times New Roman has several spaces in the font name....if i take out the spaces in the name (ie. RobotoMono) or use an underscore instead of a space, the font doesn't work on the site.
Please help!
