If the cover is less that 100vh you would see through underneath and the content would stick out?
It wouldn't be a cover anymore so there is no built in Lay options for this.
Maybe this is what you want? :)

Sorry its been a while since this thread,
The following CSS is what controls the transition speed of the Imagehover, Mouse-in & Mouse-out:

.lay-imagehover-region.transition { transition: opacity 1000ms ease; }

I have set it to 1000ms instead of the default 200ms.

hey felix, i just switched to another provider for selling lay theme. I guess now this shouldn't happen anymore.
