Thanks for your answer – the problem was resolved by manually re-arranging one of the projects in the project order when editing the thumbnail grid and then saving it (so I basically kept the same order but moved one project around, just to change something).
However I still don’t know how the random order appeared in the first place, all my plugins seem to be working well alongside Lay theme, and all my software is up to date…

I use a thumbnail grid as footer to be displayed on every post and page in order to navigate through other projects. The thumbnail order is displayed correctly when I edit the page within WordPress, however the frontend organisation seems to be random.
The problem appeared when I upgraded WordPress to 5.7.1. and to Lay Theme 3.8.2, I haven’t updated the site for quite some months before that… (I’m assuming it might be connected to the category filter?)

Somehow the search terms typed in do not match the results of the website. Some of them work (for example, the term “demokratisierung“ echoes the corresponding projects), however many others do not (for example “grosse” or “mutumba” do not echo the corresponding entry).

After crating a project archive for a client with Lay Theme, I am now trying to make it perform smoother and faster. GTmetrix tells me that my PageSpeed and YSlow Score are not great (Grades E and D), mostly because of the lack of file compression and CDN, as well as JavaScript parsing.
Is there a way of loading all the external scripts as part of the footer rather than in the site’s head section? And, if not, is it necessary for Lay Theme to load all the external resources before upon loading the site?

Hey @mariusjopen, will this feature be added any time soon? It would be great to have the carousel captions linked to the already existing data.
