@arminunruh I fixed it with this:

i put this at the end of functions.php in the lay-theme folder via ftp :)

update_option( 'siteurl', 'https://friedspace.at' );
update_option( 'home', 'https://friedspace.at' );

https://jonasfrey.friedspace.at/ is the one which I copied the laytheme to - and it works

@arminunruh and how will the free-version be supported with updates?

and can I use the free-version lay.zip on multible websites?

I just figured, that when I copy the theme via ftp to a new wordpress installtion it works for the new one, but the original website runs into a problem which is that it doesn't load in the browser and I can't even login to disable the theme.

any suggestions?

is the free version discontinued? I wanted to set up a new website with the free version, but I cant find it anywhere. even in the gumroad mail from a previous download it seems that I can't re-download the lay.zip

any idea?
