the website “https://batteriefreiheit.de” contains two pages and uses different footer pages for each of them.

If you click on the link in the footer “batteriefreiheit.de” from the page “Impressum/Datenschutzerklärung” to the main page and then scroll to the footer on the main page, you will see that the wrong footer is displayed (still the footer of “Impressum/Datenschutzerklärung”).

Only when you reload the main page will the correct footer be displayed.

I hope I have explained the problem reasonably well ;-)

PS: I could do a workaround for these just two pages, but it would be nice if I could use the “Pages Footer” feature as it is.

The problem was actually not with the Lay Theme but somewhere else in the plugin settings of Ninja Forms. Many thanks for your efforts!

google recaptcha v3 does not show up on forms built by Plugin Ninja Forms. A small icon should appear, but this is not the case. In the console I also don't see that google recaptcha is loaded?

Would send you login data, then you could have a look for yourself on the website affected?

Wordpress offers the function to protect a single page/project by setting a password. I use Ninja Forms. Unfortunately, forms created with Ninja Forms do not appear on password-protected pages. This seems to be a problem with Laytheme in particular?

Hi there,

Borlabs Cookie is a widely used tool (cookie management) in German-speaking countries, practically a standard. Services can be integrated via so-called packages. Unfortunately, this does not work smoothly with laytheme. For example, I could not properly integrate OpenStreetMaps and Google reCaptcha. This is not exactly ideal for setting up a GDPR-compliant website. Would be nice if laytheme was fully compatible with Borlabs Cookie. I hope something can be done?

Hi there,

on https://niessnerdesign.de/kontakt/ we have integrated OpenStreetMaps (OSM) by iframe.
We use Borlabs Cookie as a consent tool. Unfortunately, the opt-in/opt-out for thes OSM-Map does not work properly.
This seems to be a problem with lay theme. On a test website, OSM can be integrated cleanly in the Gutenberg editor with Borlabs Cookie. Is there a solution or work-around? Should I use a special plugin, which one?

Hi Armin,

habe alle Plugins auf meiner Test-Installation deakiviert und folgende Plugins in dieser Reihenfolgen wieder aktiviert:

1 NinjaFirewall (WP Edition)
2 UpdraftPlus – Sichern/Wiederherstellen
3 Borlabs Cookie - Cookie Opt-in
4 Disable XML-RPC
5 Ninja Forms
6 Ninja Forms - File Uploads

Das sind gängige Plugins die wir auch auf anderen Websites mit Lay-Theme verwenden.

Was ich feststellen konnte:

Schon nach der Installation von NinjaFirewall und UpdraftPlus lief Bearbeitung und Aktualisieren im Backend spürbar langsamer. Mit jedem weiteren Plugin hat sich das noch verstärkt.

Mein Eindruck ist, dass eine große Anzahl von "thumbnail grids" auf einer Seite Probleme macht. Reduziere ich die Anzahl der "thumbnail grids" auf einer Seite auf 2 oder 3 läuft alles rund.

Man kann natürlich die Struktur der Website so abändern, dass nur noch eine geringe Anzahl von thumbnail grids je Seite verwendet werden, aber es wäre sehr wünschenswert wenn wir die Seite "https://www.karlerecycling.de/karle-news/" in dieser Form belassen können. Der Kunde hätte wenig Verständnis für einen Umbau :-/

ich habe die Website mal als Test-Installation auf unseren eigenen Server migriert.
Dort tritt der Fehler auch auf. Dein Tipp
https://www.bitblokes.de/wordpress-verbindung-wurde-unterbrochen-speichern-wurde-deaktiviert-bis-die-verbindung-wiederhergestellt-ist-wir-sichern-diesen-beitrag-in-deinem-browser-nur-fuer-den-fall/
hat leider keine Besserung gebracht.
Ich werde prüfen ob es vielleicht an einem Plugin liegt...

On pages wich use thumblnail grid(s): during editing, I constantly receive the following error message.

"Die Verbindung wurde unterbrochen. Das Speichern wurde deaktiviert, bis die Verbindung wieder hergestellt ist. Dieser Beitrag wird in deinem Browser gesichert, nur für den Fall."

Sometimes there is even a time out (bad gateway). If it goes really bad and the error occurs during saving, the page is broken. The hoster can not explain it.
