Hi Armin,
I also need to update my Lay theme. My works are still visible but the gridder is not working correctly and additionally I have the problem described here:

I found out how the problem is caused: The space for the site title is as big as the title image. If the text for the tagline is longer than the image width, somehow the alignment does not work.
I made the image wider so that the alignment can be controlled.

Maybe something to fix.

Hi, are you sure that it works also with a background image?
I updated to 1.7.8 but the footer doesn't change ...

Or is this CSS correct to change the BG color of the footer:
#footer-region {
background-color: #baebe1;

Hi, I think it has something to do with the length of the lines. When I put shorter words even in three lines or shrink the font size there is a point where the alignment works again.

This image shows that it works (7pt font size)

And here, with 9 pt font size the text jumps to left aligned:

So maybe the question is now how to have a bigger "box" for the text?

I wanted it to look like this:

When I used this:

#footer-region{
background-color: #baebe1;
}
the text was put on the background image without color on the footer region.

At the moment I solved it with custom CSS like this which is ok, too:

I have a menu with site title image and site tagline (2 lines with <br> in between). In the customizing panel "Site Tagline" I set "Text Align" to center but the text stays aligned to the left. I also tried text align: right and nothing changed. Also the text format is set to "centered" which seems to be ignored.
Even when I don't select any format (menu set to "--SELECT--") and set font family, size etc. individually, nothing changes.
I also emptied the cache and tried another browser ...

Any idea?

Hi,
I wanted a footer on a page with a background image. But when I have a background image, the background color for the footer is not visible (seems to be behind the image). When I disable the image, the color in the footer becomes visible.
How can I solve this?

Hi,
I started building a website with LAY Version 1.058, then got the latest version. I deinstalled the old theme and installed with the new zip file. I imported the .xml of the old customized theme.
After this, I get the following error message and in the gridder I don't see anything. It is visible on the website, though. Then, when I switch from desktop to mobile view and back in the layout gridder, the content becomes visible again.

I paste one error message of one of the projects. I think they are all similar in each project?

If you like you can create a new layout in the empty Gridder below but then your old layout will be lost for sure.

Okay, the files that contained links to the localhost were not changed correctly in the end.
I changed the prefix in the wp-config file and updated wp_options with the new link to the server.
Phew...

Hi, actually I am trying to move the whole page from my local server to my webspace ... and all the settings of the menu, frontpage, categories disappeared ... :|

Hi, thank you very much for this great theme!
I have one problem:
I created a page with one image and two texts in two rows. In the upper row is the photo and text 1. Then I added one gutter row, and at the bottom the 2nd text box. I adjusted the gutter rows to 2% in the general gridder options.
This works perfectly on all pages except for this one. On the website it looks like the text is maybe aligned to the bottom. But I changed that in the options already.
I tried to delete the text and add it from scratch. And I also created the whole new page from scratch. But still no change...
Do you have a clue or any experience with this?
When I add another image aligned to top of the text box, the image is aligned correctly, the text stays in its position.
