ah lol i already created an option for this
look you need to have that setting like this and then it should work:

this will sort the project index by tags alphanumerically from the get go

but sorting the tags in the filter tab will only have an effect of the order of tags in the tags part of the rows of the project if there are multiple tags listed for one project

the question and the solution seem to not be related :D

this will make single projects in a projectindex unclickable. but it will still have the imagehover addon working. "ids_to_ignore" is a list of project ids you want to have not clickable.
