This was done with the developer tools of the browser, they are extremely helpful for testing things before hard-coding.

Any custom code would be added to your website via:

Lay Options > Custom CSS & HTML > Custom CSS

The documentation page will really help you with this (there is also help with developer tools):

You can use the Following CSS and change it to suit your needs:

.sitetitle { line-height: 1 !important; }

This CSS can be added to either > Lay Options > Custom CSS & HTML >

Or in > Customize > CSS

Haha, I have no idea what it does or how it works. (Just copied it from some guy's tips and tricks page to solve this problem.) So I don't even know how to look for a similar plug-in. (tips are welcome.)
But I'll copy it again when I update. No problemo!

Horizontal lines:

I need to add an option one day to add horizontal lines :D

Edit: now there are horizontal lines with "+more" -> "+horizontal line" in the gridder.

Right now you could also add a class to a row by right clicking on an empty spot of the row. If you give it a class of "row-line",
you could use some css like:

.row-line{ border-top: 1px solid black; }

Background of one Column:

Add a class to your row like "custom-column-background"
Then use some css like this:

.custom-column-background .col:nth-child(2){ background-color: blue; }

The nth-child(2) selects the second column in this example.

Align image in middle of column:
Please select the column content and click the "align middle" button in the gridder.
