Nonetheless I really recommend to not change existing mobile menu designs with an update. It is a kind of surprising situation when the mobile menu suddenly looks different after an update. ✌️

This won't make any changes to your site because now you already touched those settings.
But for other people, those new settings will only be applied when they activate Lay Theme on a fresh install. If they just use Lay Theme just like that, they already have it installed, they will keep the old default settings.

Yes, you're right.
Let me think about how to handle this differently.
I think I should change the behavior and make it so the default values stay the same, so people don't run into the same issue that you did.

And then somehow only change the default values if someone just freshly activated Lay Theme.

I just did not realise first that it worked because it still looks off in the customiser while on the actual phone it appears as intended.
