hey, yep filebird works well with laytheme, you can create folders and sub folders for your media items. It is free but the paid version allows you to see the sub folders when you are uploading/modifying images to the gridder.

Thanks, tested vh, shv, lvh and dvh. dvh still works best and only breaks when manually revealing the menu bar. Works as intended when the menubar is hidden or revealed by scrolling.
