wooCommerce makes website crash
-
Hi everyone,
Since a while I have been getting this notification on my dashboard:
"Your theme (Lay Theme) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. "
But everything was still working fine.Today I updated Wordpress and all plugins including woocommerce and when woo commerce is active my website is so slow that is practically not usable.
Everything looks fine when woocommerce is deactivated.
I received this email from Wordpress:"WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, WooCommerce. "If I view the affected templates, I notice this:
The Legacy REST API plugin is not installed on this site.
Remote get: wp_remote_get() failed. Contact your hosting provider.
lay/woocommerce/single-product/product-attributes.php version 3.6.0 is out of date. The core version is 9.3.0,
What can I do?
My website: chiarabellamoli.com
I sell only 1 product on this page: https://chiarabellamoli.com/product/freiheim-photo-book/Thank you for your help.

hey there!
so the product-attributes.php template:
i looked at the newer version of the template and there are almost no changes made to itthe only change i could see was they added a aria-label to it which is for blind people with a screen reader i think
wp remote get
https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/wp_remote_get/is a normal function that is called to get updates for your themes and plugins. sometimes it can time out when the update server doesnt respond but this shouldnt break ur site i think
The Legacy REST API plugin is not installed on this site.
can you install the plugin "Legacy REST API" and see if that changes anything?
woocommerce needs a lot of computing power, maybe your webserver is not powerful enough to make the website run fast with woocommerce enabled
