Is there a way to align standard menu items to Gridder columns?

I am working on my portfolio website and I would like to align my primary menu items with the columns of my Gridder layout. For example, I want the first menu item to sit exactly above column 4, the second above column 8, and so on. Is there a way to do that without messing all the website up?

You can use this feature. Enable it in Layout Options in the Extra Features section.

Now this will make it possible for you to have a layout be on top of all the other layouts, and in there you can put links using the same grid as your other layouts.
