      hello!

so i tested this, i enabled the default theme "twenty twenty five"
i also tested it with the woocommerce theme "storefront"

emails dont contain an image, even when i use those themes:

      image.png

However, I do see in the order received page, the image is missing.

this will be fixed with the next lay theme update:

but about the images not appearing in emails.

how did you make images show up in your emails?
as far as i know this would need editing of the email template code. or you would need to use an additional plugin to add an image to emails.

hey, I think you need to activate the new woocommerce email template to see product images in emails. If you go to:

woocommerce > settings > emails > scroll to the bottom I think it's in there

          or

woocommerce > settings > advanced > features > email improvements and tick the box.

You need at least woocommerce version 9.8, you can read more about it here: https://developer.woocommerce.com/2025/04/09/woocommerce-9-8-modernized-designs-and-email-previews/#h-modernized-email-templates-and-previews

          Hope that's useful!

Hi everyone! Thanks for your responses.

Regarding the new update fixing this issue: thank you so much! I really appreciate your quick handling of this.

In relation to how to show the image in emails, to be honest I have no idea. I thought it was always there! lol I don't know where you activate it, but in WooCommerce/settings/emails, at the bottom where the template example appears, it shows up with the images directly.

alright i got it to work!
the preview email you showed me will always show this kind of placeholder image.
but now the email that gets sent out will have an image showing.

please use this updated version of lay theme for now that includes this fix:

Could this update have disabled the 'New Order' confirmation emails to the admin? I think the customer emails are fine, but I'm no longer receiving notifications when a purchase is made. They were working before.

I've performed a 'send a test email' for both 'completed order' to the customer (which arrives fine) and 'New order' to the admin (which is not arriving)

Thank you as always for your help.

                      image.png

i went here, and clicked send test email:

                      image.png

                      and i got it:

                      9ee9e4ef-8f84-4daa-b99f-59a21ac1dda1-image.png

it has to be enabled here:
                      66e6fd68-1def-496a-b53e-a74cda3d0bc0-image.png

when i logout of the admin area

and order an item, i also get the email:
                      5c7cfbf1-0706-4768-9a33-59e7887b57ab-image.png

even when im logged in i get the email:

                      514b6c92-3d17-42b3-9225-60fbe7d32278-image.png

maybe you dont have it enabled, or your emails dont work?
I use FluentSMTP for email sending:
                      0da4fec9-8451-449b-8d55-af2bbe47a1d4-image.png

                      if you enable this plugin:
                      cb43718f-e975-49a9-8f36-a579c9c4d6ca-image.png

and enable debug mode, then buy a product, in the debug logs, do you see any errors related to emails?

                      e05fdc6f-ca33-4df9-ae3d-a7a4d2fec904-image.png

if u still have issues with it:

                      Can you please send:
