2 dash burger menu

[Hayo Gebauer]

I've noticed a growing popularity for a 2 dash burger menu instead of a 3 dash.

Maybe that's something for laytheme?

Edit: THANKS FOR IMPLEMENTING!!

Hi @Hayo-Gebauer

point taken!

We will see what we can do!

Best!

I have been checking out Cargo 2 from Cargocollective, which is also a website building tool and they support uploading custom svg icons for burger menu icons. There is also a small selection of default icons you can choose from. Maybe that would be a cool feature for the future.

I’m using this code at the moment to change the burger menu icon. It’s probably pretty messy code but it works for now.

/* ---------- Burger Menu Icon ---------- */

.burger::after {
    content: "+";
    color: #000;
    overflow:visible;
    line-height: 1;
    height: 100%;
    margin-top: -4px;
}

.burger.active::after {
    padding-left: 1px;
    font-size: 35px;
    content: "–" !important;
}

.burger span {
    display: none;
}

.burger {
    font-weight: 400;
    position: absolute;
    top: 0px;
    right: 0px;
    overflow: visible;
	margin: 0px;
    padding-left: 35px;
    padding-right: 20px;
    width: 45px;
    height: 45px;
    font-size: 35px;
    text-indent: 0 !important;
    -webkit-appearance: none;
    -moz-appearance: none;
    appearance: none;
    box-shadow: none;
    border-radius: none;
    border: none;
    cursor: pointer;
    -webkit-transition: background 0.2s;
    transition: background 0.2s;
    background-color: transparent;
    display: flex;
    justify-content: space-around;
}
