does this work? .lay-carousel{ height: 300px!important; } Enter this css in "lay options" -> "custom css & html" -> "custom css for mobile" or how about for the mobile version you create a custom phone layout? https://laytheme.com/documentation/custom-phone-layouts.html and have carousels with a different sizing in there or you could always use a portrait aspect ratio photo as the first in your carousel.

the carousels height and aspect ratio always stays the same, so its behaving correctly if you want the image to be aligned to the top go to lay options → carousel addon and set this setting: [image: 1739867011156-screenshot-2025-02-18-at-09.23.27.png]

this is difficult to do for someone with no experience with html and css [image: 1738231647395-screenshot-2025-01-30-at-11.07.22.png] as you can see this div either has a html class of "up" or "down" there is css for the cursor that is used: html.fp-enabled .grid.down { cursor: url(http://localhost:10020/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/pointinghand.svg) 16 16, pointer; } and the body has a class of fp-viewing-x : [image: 1738231676545-screenshot-2025-01-30-at-11.07.52.png] probably you'd do sth like html.fp-enabled body.fp-viewing-5.id-123 .grid.down { cursor: url(http://localhost:10020/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/pointinghand.svg) 16 16, pointer; } with id being the id of your project, pf-viewing-x where x must be the number that is shown there when your slide is active. and the url part being the dark down cursor. probably with horizontal slider its left and right or sth like that. instead of up and down. google "how to use chrome inspector"

i think this wont be possible because of how the captions are coded :| you could only have a carousel without captions and then add another text element underneath that is bigger you could use the stack element to stack both elements: https://laytheme.com/documentation/gridder-elements.html#stack-element
