Can't add text

Hi, i am having a problem with one of my lay theme sites. When i click on the "+Text"-Button a white pop-up-screen appears and the only thing i can do is leaving the pop-up by clicking on the greyed background.

I reinstalled wordpress and lay theme, updated to the latest version, activated and deactivated license, tried php 8.0 and php 7.4, tried firefox, safari and chrome, did not customized anything, no code, no content. I run some other lay theme sites with everything the same, same settings and same host without having that issue.

go to your user

make sure "Visual Editor" is unchecked, so it is enabled:

@arminunruh it was already unchecked. so must be another reason.

A friend solved the problem by re-installing wordpress in the wordpress dashboard section even though i had the latest version.
