lightbox: how to go back to project instead of home with back button

If I'm on a project page such as https://new23.rosswoodhall.com/pfd-skis-la-grave/
then click to view an image in the lightbox, when I click the browser's back button I'm taken back to the site's homepage.

Is there a way for the back button to close the lightbox so I go back to the project page instead of the homepage?

so opening a lightbox is just making an image bigger, its not going to a new page. so thats why this works as intended

i can see how people might want to have it work this way. however, i will leave it the way it is :/

Hey, maybe not a new page - would be nice, if the user is taken back to the "work"page after closing a project lightbox to be able to go on with another project and so on (without any need to use the browser-arrow or click on the homepage link agein)

for example, yes. The easiest way is to do it via the menu (if shown at any time - which is not the case at 110k studio)

i've been working on the projects overlays feature, im going to release it now.
with this you can have a X close icon to get back to the page you just came from.

i think this will work as you wanted to have it @betty

however, this has nothing to do with the lay theme lightbox addon, but i can see the similarities, because you're talking about overlays so you used lightbox to describe it
