slow loading of landing page and wrong language

Hello there! A couple issues with my website:

The landing page takes a long time to load. My lazy loading option is on, but still no changes

My landing page is set dutch/NL, i am using polylang. The page in dutch displays correctly but the menu is in English! When I click EN on the language menu and then back to NL it does display the correct menu. I followed this advice on you forum and didnt work. Any clues?

so the issue was in the language setting, the default language that the website is shown in must be set correctly:
its not enough to just go to customize → frontpage and set the translated page as a frontpage,
because the menu will be using the default language set in

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
