Customizer doesn't work anymore.

’m experiencing a critical issue with my WordPress site using the Lay Theme. Whenever I try to access the Customizer, I get the following error message:
"Es gab einen kritischen Fehler auf dieser Website. Prüfe bitte den Posteingang deines Website-Administrators auf Anweisungen. Wenn du weiterhin Probleme hast, wende dich bitte an die Support-Foren."
I’ve tried the basic troubleshooting steps (disabling plugins, switching themes, clearing cache), but the problem persists. The site works normally otherwise, but I cannot access the customizer, which is critical for editing the site layout.
Can anyone advise on possible causes or solutions for this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
