slow website because of hidden images get loaded
-
hey sorry again,
so i'm working at the moment on this website https://valeriospada.com and it loads extremely slow
when opening the browser's console it shows that any page (for example https://valeriospada.com/firenze-iii/ , which shows only one image) makes more than 200 requests, mostly hidden images, and downloads more than 450MB of resources. This is valid also for pages without any images, as for example the Contact page. On some pages it downloads more than 1GB of resources.
any idea what is wrong here?
thank you for any help!!

hey! please enable:
lazy loading for images in "lay options":

and make sure this is disabled:

-
thanks for the feedback!
lazy loading is activated
but never schow… is enabled because otherwise the zoom function on the website doesnt work
see also my other thread:

ok but can you still enable lazyload just to test if that fixes the issue of too much mb loading?
youre using imagehover addon and the projectindex element with it.
so all images are loaded that would show up when you hover over a project in the projectindex.
-
ok can you disable the plugin "wp-image-zoooom-pro"

seems like it loads a lot of images, and it does so by loading the originals.
if you could also disable your custom code please that would be nice for testing

ah now i see what ure trying to do.
ok can you now also disable "never show resized versions of images"and are you actually using the page overlay feature?
if not, please turn if offcan u also turn off this:

and turn on:

-
then also make sure in customize -> background,
please set the website background color to black.
soon, maybe i will find some time soon to code this zoom feature you want for the lightbox addon. then you wont need to use that other addon which causes this issue.
I also code custom websites or custom Lay features.
