This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin back end

HI I'm experiencing this error message in Wordpress recovery mode. My site is down since I updated Wordpress & Laytheme.
Any ideas how I can resolve this?

can u go to appearance - themes
and use the latest lay.zip file here?
click upload, use this:
https://kernl-file-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/25-02-2026/10-31-30/lay//lay.zipand click activate

Resolved. It had something to do with my Custom CSS that wasn't compatible with the new version. I will work my way through it and try to figure it out. Thanks

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options ā Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
