active menu item not working
-
Hi, I’m using Lay Theme for a Onepager site.
I want the active menu item to be underlined. No problem at first, worked fine on local host. Not sure when exactly the problem started, but now on live site it doesn't work anymore.Everything works fine (anchors, smooth scroll, layout), but the active menu item does not update while scrolling. Disabling custom code or plugins doesn't help. It seems to always underline the anchor on which I reload the page. Hover works fine as well. Same problem in firefox, chorme, safari.
Any idea what would cause this?
Site is currently protected by password, but if needed I can share it. Thanks!

hi eva, thanks for the detailed description. the active menu point underline on scroll is controlled by a setting in lay options → anchor scroll → "use menu point active style for menu points that are scrolled to". can you check if that's turned on?
if it is, the next thing to check is custom code — go to lay options → custom html and css → turn off all custom code, save, and test again. sometimes a stray html tag or css rule can break the scroll detection.
if neither helps, can you send your website address, /wp-admin/ username and password and a link to this topic to info@laytheme.com? i'll take a look.

Hi Armin
Thanks for the quick answer :)
Yes, everything ist turned on correctly, I tried to turn it off and on once again, but it's still not working. If turned off, the underline vanishes all together (which is correct), so it does something.
The same with custom code.
I'll send you a Mail.
