laytheme and ecommerce

hello,

i'm wondering if there is any update on this?
which ecommerce method do you recommend to work with laytheme (a simple shopping cart is fine).

1. i found SNIPCART and installed the basics and it seems to work, but... is full integration possible? (I don't want to mess around with the theme at all)

2. or ECWID - seems to install fine but none of the functionality is showing up
