Lay Theme & SEO extension?

Hello,
I have tried to use the SEO Framework (https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/autodescription/) with the Theme but somehow it does not work. All the info that I input is deleted once I save the page. Is this my fault? Is there a SEO tool that is suggested? Thanks for any hint! -
you can use the "yoast seo" plugin
