html5 video not playing (only showing thumbnail) with Lay video controls

I saw that there are nicer UI controls now for html5 video.

But no matter what I do in both my browsers (Brave and Firefox) only the thumbnails is visible while the sound is playing in the background.

No JS errors in the console.

No cache plugins.

Not sure if this is directly related, but Vimeo videos with Lay Custom Controls are not working either. I can only see the thumbnail and the play icon, and clicking is disabled.

One more question: when I turn the autoplay feature on, how can I unmute the video with the Lay Custom Controls activated? I can’t seem to find that option/icon :/

there is only an unmute button there in firefox.
other browsers dont support vimeo iframe embed custom ui sound related buttons :/

if u want a unmute button there, you'd need to use the standard vimeo controls

My goal was to have the autoplay feature on, but if it's not supported on other browsers, I'll keep the autoplay off with custom controls on (and unmuted by default).
