Password protect on front page do not load the page

I’m having trouble with password protection on my front page. When I use the short URL (https://site.com), the page doesn’t load—it just shows a black screen. However, I can access the site if I use the full URL (https://site.com/slug/).
This worked fine in older versions of Lay Theme, but I’m now on 10.2.8.
Has anyone else run into this?I really need a quick fix—any help would be appreciated!

hey can u update now and check again?
i think this was an issue where if you had a password protected frontpage and opened a non existent URL which then showed an empty page instead of the password protected frontpage

Before you post:
- When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.
- Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons
- Disable all Plugins
- Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes"
This often solves issues you might run into
When you post:
- Post a link to where the problem is
- Does the problem happen on Chrome, Firefox, Safari or iPhone or Android?
- If the problem is difficult to explain, post screenshots / link to a video to explain it
