SEO indexing / structure
-
I’m having a problem with SEO indexing for Laytheme pages that use both a desktop and a mobile version: the structured content (h1, h2, h3, etc.) is displayed in full in the source code for both versions, so the structure isn’t clean and the <h> tags appear multiple times (once per screen version). How can I fix this?
thanks :) -
hey! this happens because if you use the custom phone layout, it creates additional markup. thats done by design, this way we get maximum flexibility.
If thats an issue on your site, I'd recommend deleting some of the custom phone layouts where you have your headlines.

This is a bit of a nightmare for SEO and GEO, and it’s also very inconvenient in day-to-day use. Both the mobile and desktop versions need a semantically clear structure; having them appear twice isn’t particularly helpful.
Isn’t it possible to leave out the content from the version that isn’t needed?
Thanks
