I cannot embed a PDF file

I cannot embed a pdf. I upload it in the media section, but after that there is no way to embed it on the page.
help me please.

Hi Mehregan,

you cannot embed PDFs like you would embed an image.

You can embed a jpg which looks like the PDF and then link it to the real PDF. So people who click on it will download the real PDF.

@mariusjopen thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure how to link the image to the PDF? like how do I get the real PDF link?

I mean the URL linked to the PDF doesn't work.

Hi Mehregan,

1. You upload the PDF into your Media library:
   

2. Then you click on the PDF and copy the url on the left:
   

3. Then you go the the gridder and place an image

4. Then you right-click on the image and add the url under LINK IMAGE:
