Inputing carousel slide number into a div

Hey everyone,

I'm asking just in case but I'm guessing this might not be possible. Would there be a way, using custom javascript, to input the current slide number into a text block rather that having it being fixed below the carousel?

Such as
Project name (2/4)

with custom JS this might be possible.

But you will need some medium advanced knowledge to do that.
