Audio in Lay?

Hello Armin,

is it possible to use audio-files in the Lay theme? WP has this built-in player which I see when I post an mp3-link in the text editor. But when I place and save it it disappears.

The client I work for is an art group who work in images, video, performance and audio so it would be necessary to display audio files in a simple way. I could put everythin in a video file bit that seems like "Kanonen auf Spatzen"… :)

Hey! You could upload audio files to soundcloud and then get the embed code from there. Then create a "text" in the Gridder, click the "<>" "code" button and insert your soundcloud embed code. Hope that helps!

Thanks, I already thought about that. But that's kind of a complex work-around and the solution could be much simpler if one could avoid that step…

What is the reason for not allowing standard WordPress-audio in "Lay"? Where would I find the code that supresses it?

Hey Arne, I think maybe it has to do with the way I'm outputting text. I'm going to see if I can fix that.
