Can I use lay theme for subdomains too?

Hey. I asked myself if its possible to use lay theme also for subdomains? Example: I've a "website.de" and want to use it also for "topic.website.de". Can you manage it or is it two databases and I've to buy for both lay theme? Thanks a lot for your answer Armin.
