I cannot code and have the same question. I want a static layer on the frontage and there is an option with INTRO IMAGE- but, there´re only 2 buttons with FADE OUT options. What can I do?

the INTRO image is NOT done for that. That will fade out.You can make a HTML Element and style and position it with CUSTOM CSS.
If you have a look at a HTML and CSS tutorial at Codeacademy – you will easily figure out how to do that.
