Password protected projects are still not visible in a project thumbnail grid

After the latest update (4.4.0), password protected projects are still not visible in a project thumbnail grid.
Protected projects are visible in the "Edit Project Thumbnail Grid", but not on the website.

I am waiting since version 4.2.8 for this problem to be fixed, it is a functionality that I really need.
