After selecting a variant, the first image will be displayed twice

is it possible that your variation image is the same image that is the first one in the product gallery?

I recently made this change which was requested by someone:

"WooCommerce: Fixed variation image not displayed and scrolled to at the top when variation is chosen if the image already exists in product gallery"

I thought about this edge case that seems to be happening for you, hmmm

I did set the first image in product image tab and the other images comes after for product gallery tab.

I've done a little test, and if you've set up a variantion (for example, different images for each price), then selecting a price will show the exact image that you set up for each price. However, if you haven't set up an image for each price, then it will only show the default image that you set as the product image, so i just can assume that selecting a price will show the default image twice again, rather than bringing up the image that you set up for each price.

in mobile mode, if you select the variation, last image on carousel is gone.
