mouse cursor does not work

for https://axellestiefel.com/test6-copy/ I would like to use an image as the mouse cursor. I uploaded the image in the 'cursor' option. I tried as well a custom CSS.

Both didn't apply. Is it possible to have that image transparent? And how could I regulate the size?

and one additional question: how can the cursor be transparent (have no white background) ?

hello! you may be able to use a png or svg

i see you already used a png but you used one with a white background and its too big.

thanks @arminunruh I resized it - now it only appears when I move the mouser over a link. I thought it would appear all the time. So it replaces the standard mouse. Or is that not possible?
