Activating Lightbox-Addon from another developer

Dear all,

I would like to activate a Lightbox-Addon (for ex. WB Lightbox 2) for my Laytheme-created website. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get it running even though I activated it in the general settings. Is it even possible to install a Lightbox-Addon besides the LayTheme-Lightbox (which costs 29€ and apparently does not work with the mobile version?). If so, could anybody give some advice how to get it running?
