Lay Theme Forum

Although the layout of our website shows correct on the wp-admin page it is destroyed on the live website. This is a very new problem on a website which is online as it is for many years with almost the same content (brightenthecorners.com)

we did as adviced: 1 Update Lay Theme and all Lay Theme Addons 2 Disable all Plugins 3 Go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML, click "Turn Off All Custom Code", click "Save Changes" and 4 When using a WordPress Cache plugin, disable it or clear your cache.

When we return to Laytheme version 9.8.8 the problem disappears.

Can you/anybody help?

out of nowhere I have this strange text (see below) on the top of my homepage. Did anyone have the same problem and could tell me how to get rid of it? The text is not visible anywhere, so I can't delete it anywhere.

This is an example page. It’s different from a blog post because it will stay in one place and will show up in your site navigation (in most themes). Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:

Hi there! I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my website. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin‘ caught in the rain.)

…or something like this:

The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.

As a new WordPress user, you should go to your dashboard to delete this page and create new pages for your content. Have fun!

You are right, it was very easy to install!

For some reason though, my Text Formats aren't showing up in the LayGridder, as they usually do, on the right. Instead, the 'Formats' button appears on the left and contains the website's existing formats (not my newly inputed LayGridder ones).

Do you think there is an easy fix for this? Or would it be more complicated to resolve?

Do you know if I can use one of my ten LayTheme licenses for the LayGridder, or does it have to be bought separately?

Also, if I find the installation too daunting, is there a service for a LayTheme developer to install this for me?

I am working on a website containing several different projects: https://www.empathymuseum.com

The site is running on WP, but each project page within it could potentially have a completely different design and interface.

This may be a silly question, but I wondered if I could install LayTheme to a particular page so that it was independent to the rest of the site?

Does anyone know if something like this is possible?

I'd like my mobile version to be just like the desktop version, with the site tagline visible under the site title, and my single menu item to the right (instead of a burger bar).

Same Problem here. Site is not visible online anymore. Only the Favicon shows up - apart from that it is blank… Help Lay Theme!

I just noticed, that only the homepage works on the .com and .de - but not the News and Info page. So I changed it and it is now only pointing to the co.uk address when you visit at .com and .de. The main problem remains. Any answers welcome…

we did set up our new website design with Wordpress/Laytheme on one of our three domains www.brightenthecorners.co.uk. For our other two domains we set the path to the same Wordpress/Laytheme folder. So when you also visit use www.brightenthecorners.com or www.brightenthecorners.de you will see the same content as on the .co.uk domain.

Now we want to get rid of our co.uk plus our .de domains and only keep the .com domain. Is there an easy way (this did not work: http://laytheme.com/documentation.html#moving-website) that the wp-admin now runs on http://brightenthecorners.com/wp-admin instead of http://brightenthecorners.co.uk/wp-admin?
