  • News element 'load more' bugged in new update
    S sds

    Hi Armin

Thanks for clarifying. In my case, this page is designed as a landing page module, where the goal is a clean, short layout that highlights only the newest 3 items.

When the expanded state persists, the landing page effectively becomes an endlessly long archive, which undermines the layout and makes the page feel excessive.

It's great to be able to hide content, when it's not necessary to have it constantly displayed. Almost like having an accordion that would be permanently expanded.

I think both your and my case of use is valid. Super useful on an archive page, maybe more harmful on a landing page. Any way it would be possible to make the “load more” state persistence configurable (on/off)?

  • News element 'load more' bugged in new update
    S sds

I updated my client's lay site yesterday to add the "smooth scroll" feature, but now I notice that the News Element's 'Load More' function is bugged.

If you click on the Load More button, the extra news elements will be permanently displayed, even if you refresh the site. Basically, the function won't reset once you've clicked the button. And the button will also be visible even though it's unfolded all the elements.

  • Thumbnail grid produces unneeded space when using categories
    S sds

It seems removing the row height disabled the extra space for each additional subcategory, even though the extra space seemed longer than 80vh. Was it adding the 80vh after the end of the thumbnail grid perhaps?

However, this means I can't use custom heights when using this setup. If there are no other issues going on, then this fix will work as well :-)

  • Thumbnail grid produces unneeded space when using categories
    S sds

As default, the thumbnail grid is set to display a category called "all projects". Try scrolling down and you'll reach the bottom of the site. Then try the next subcategory "digital design" (with fewer thumbnails), and then scroll down. You'll see you're able to scroll past the last entry and then continue down the length of the first category, even though there are no more content.

  • Thumbnail grid produces unneeded space when using categories
    S sds

    Hello

I just noticed, the container for the thumbnail grid retains the first generated height (perhaps by a grid/masonry script), even when you switch to a subcategory with less content. The result: the overlay scroll height remains large → “empty” scroll below the grid.

For example, setting the first instance to show all of my projects, which in this case could be 20 projects/thumbnails. Then the thumbnail grid would have a specific height, that would be equal to showing 20 thumbnails. But if you then click on a new category that only would display 5 projects, the height of the thumbnail grid would still be equal to 20 thumbnails. You would then have a website that would take up a lot of excessive space with no content.

Would it be possible to have the thumbnail grid to adjust in height to the actual content that is showing, rather than keeping a fix height generated by the first instance?

  • webgl background freezes with overlays
    S sds

Hi! If you use a WebGL Slideshow Background on a page and have the Project Overlays activated, the WebGL slideshow will freeze in mid-animation if you click on any project overlay and then return to the page with the slideshow background.
After this, it will stay frozen in whatever animation was playing the moment you clicked on an overlay and will not function again before you do a refresh of the entire site.

Hi! After using the "show full content" layout I now see that the content is missing on the mobile site. There's just an empty space. Is this a bug?

I also see now that if you just add normal images instead of a carousel, these images become pixelated if they are content that comes after the "Load more" function.

Hi. When you create a News element, then set the layout to "Show full content" and add a "Load more" button - everything that will be loaded has empty carousel content. You can see the numbers in the carousel that indicate the content, but the actual content is missing.

  • Request: horizontal placement in a stack
    S sds

Hi! This has perhaps already been requested, but it would be a huge help if a stack could contain elements both in horizontal and vertically alignment. It opens up for a lot more flexibility/possibilities for combining various text formats and images together.

    Much appreciated <3

  • Lightbox don't work in a overlay page
    S sds

Hi! I have a overlay page that shows a gallery through the element grid. However, when the page is using the overlay feature, the lightbox won't work. I can't click on the images to enlarge them. If I deactivate the overlay then the lightbox is working fine.

    Is this a bug?

  • exclude current project for project index
    S sds

Hi! I've added a classic "Related projects" list on each of my project pages through the Project Index feature that will display other projects within the same tags. It functions as an easy way to navigate to other projects in the same theme without having to start over from the homepage.

However, when doing this, the current project page you're on is always displayed on the list as well, which is a bit redundant since you're already on the page, and theoretically you would be stuck in a loop if you click it.

My thought is, would it not be more logic to have the current project excluded from the Project Index? That way navigation to other projects would be much more clear. Alternativly, the feature could be reversed, so you would click "Include current page" in the Index feature instead.

  • scroll to top when overlay reopen
    S sds

I might find a different solution on the mobile version if it takes too much memory, for example create a duplicate of the projects and remove the overlay function, then set a customized mobile front page that links to these pages instead.

Could a possible future feature be to "Remove overlay function in phone version", so when you click an overlay on iphone ios, it would just open the page normal (since overlays are already created as pages)?

  • scroll to top when overlay reopen
    S sds

    Sounds perfect thanks Armin

I know the splitscreen also is a possibility for displaying many projects, but for this case I would still need a normal full browser-width page as the base site, rather than splitting it in two. I will need to monitor if many overlays break the site, hopefully it will work.

  • scroll to top when overlay reopen
    S sds

    Hello

I'm using the overlay feature to display projects, so almost every overlay is longer than the browser height and therefore you'll need to scroll inside the overlay to continue viewing the project page.

However, once you close an overlay and then reopen, it will remember your last position. That means, if you scroll all the way to the bottom, you will be back at the bottom if you open the project/overlay again. Not really ideal if you have a overlay-page that's scrollable.

Is it possible to make the overlay starting at the top every time you open it?
